The main building of the house was built in 1705, although the history of the grounds that belonged to the Calderers family can be traced back to 1285. The utmost care has been taken to preserve the house and you are guided on your visit by explanatory notes about each room and area.
Fabulous antique furniture, books, letters and manuscripts are on display at Els Calderers as well as farming machinery, tools and weapons. Visit the original wine cellar and try some of the wine still produced at the manor.
Els Calderers is still a working estate and you will be able to see a variety of farm animals and try an array of homemade produce; from wine and sobrassada to honey and orange juice.
